Solving type 2 diabetes is a podcast where I'll share the tools and techniques that work for me. Uh, basically share bits of my life as they relate to my diagnosis. I first got this diagnosis several years ago and I've made it a personal project to learn as much as I can and experiment with various lifestyle components to see what helps and what doesn't. Things are working well so far, but hey, I'm an experiment of one. None of this is intended as advice or guidance for you. Sorry, but I'm not a doctor. On this podcast, you'll hear about the foods I eat and the medications I take, along with my movement and exercise programs. I'll also talk about the medical and fitness tools and software apps that I use while solving my type 2 diabetes. Listen. I don't think that having a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes always needs to be a downward spiral of worsening health and complications. I do think that lifestyle can really make a difference. Each episode, I'll provide my week in review. Now I track just a few metrics, that I use to measure my progress. Currently I'm tracking my food macros, my body fat percentage, I get a 24/7 glucose reading with a sensor I wear, and I track my fitness rings on my apple watch. I'll share those stats as well as any specific challenges or successes I have for the week. On each episode, I'll briefly highlight, any hot topics that might be in the news related to type 2 diabetes, and also answer your questions. If you'd like to leave a question or a comment, head over to SolvingType2Diabetes.com and click on feedback on the top menu. So each week I'll have the main topic or focus for the podcast. It might be details on specific foods, or could be challenges with travel, or any other topic that I want to highlight related to living with this disease? For example, the next episode will focus on a bit of background specifically about type 2 diabetes itself. I figure it's a good place to start you know, like, what it is it's symptoms, it's causes, who typically gets it, and how it progresses also what kind of problem it is in today's society. I'm also happy to take topic suggestions from you. Again, simply leave feedback. Over at SolvingType2Diabetes.Com I suspect that normal, episodes will last about 30 minutes or so. And I plan to release a new episode about once per week. Hey, I hope you stick around because I mean, it can only get better, Right?
